Return Gets Part of $83M USDA Grant

SUMMARY

Return® has been awarded $4 million through the USDA’s Fertilizer Production Expansion Program.

This funding will enable us to expand our Northwood, Iowa facility, improving infrastructure and equipment to accelerate sustainable fertilizer production.

All in an effort to support domestic agriculture, maintain competitive pricing, and help build restore America’s food system.

How USDA Funding will Support Soil Health

The USDA recently announced $83 million in funding across 12 states through the Fertilizer Production Expansion Program (FPEP).

All part of a broader $900 million effort to strengthen domestic fertilizer supply chains and support farmers.

Return® is proud to be one of the recipients, with $4 million allocated to expand and modernize our Northwood, Iowa facility.

This investment will allow Return to upgrade infrastructure, equipment, and improve manufacturing and transport for sustainable fertilizer products.

These improvements will boost production and help address key challenges farmers face, such as rising input costs and supply chain disruptions.

We’re joining a national effort to promote fair competition, combat global food insecurity, and support climate-smart agricultural innovations.

"The USDA’s focus on fostering economic growth and resilience in rural communities aligns with our mission to regenerate soil health and grow a healthier planet, said CEO Adam Brummond."
